TODAY WE DID OUR 1ST IUI

LOW SPERM COUNT= NOT A GOOD DAY:(

I'LL WRITE MORE ABOUT IT ANOTHER TIME

Our TTC Timeline

August 12, 2008 - Got married and started ttc. Charting BBT everyday, planning BD accordingly and just trying to make it happen the natural way. This has continued our whole 3 1/2 years ttc.

August 5, 2009 - Almost 1 year of ttc and my first appt. with Dr. Colby (my OB/GYN)

August 6, 2009 - Started my first cycle of Clomid

August 13, 2009 - James had his first appt. with Dr. Putman (urologist)

August 14, 2009 - James' scrotal ultrasound and confirmation of Varicocele

August 21, 2009 - My HSG- open tubes and everything looks great:)

September 2, 2009 - James' 2nd appt. with urologist- pre op. consultation

September 3, 2009 - James' 1st semen analysis- low sperm count, 44 % motility, 75 % normal morphology

September 4, 2009 - James' varicocellectomy- everything went good and he just had to take it easy for a couple days

October 21, 2009 - My second appt. with Dr. Colby- went to doctor because my period was 13 days late and thought maybe I could be pregnant. Was given a progesterone shot to induce my period.

October 27, 2009 - Started my 2nd cycle of Clomid- nothing really happened I don't think Clomid works for me.

November 29, 2009 - Did my 3rd and last cycle of Clomid

December 7, 2009 - 2nd semen analysis and 1st post surgery- DRUM ROLL PLEASE....... Accidentally labeled as post-vasectomy and so no conclusive results. (Did find many motile sperm in centrifuged specimen, that should be good news right?)

July 2010 - 3rd semen analysis-unable to get results

July 27, 2010 - My 3rd appt. with Dr. Colby- 12 days late but again BFN:( Dr. checked my thyroid and prolactin levels both turned out normal, told to see a specialist there was nothing more he could do to help me get pregnant)

August 6, 2010 -My 1st appt. with Reproductive endocrinologist (Dr. Blauer more like Dr. Absolutely amaaaaazing) He was so compassionate and understanding, the plan was come back in to do IUI when we have the money!

April 27, 2011 - James' 1st appt. with Dr. Gange (urologist- insurance change and last lab messed up twice with his semen analysis- figured time to move on to another doctor, did really like Dr. Putman though.) Checked to make sure the surgery got rid of the varicocele and asked for an order form to have a semen analysis done. Funny thing we're referred to Reproductive Care Center otherwise known as the home of Dr. Blauer Christine's infertility specialist:)

September 16, 2011 - James' 1st month taking FertilAid vitamins to hopefully improve sperm count and motility!

Today - Charting my BBT, timing BD, trying to have James get a good semen analysis post surgery hopfully, and saving $ for IUI. And there you have it in a nutshell how we got from our wedding day to here: thinking about, talking about, reading about and letting infertility consume our whole lives, well not our whole lives!
